Reflux Infants Support Association

The Reflux Infants Support Association Inc (RISA) is a non-profit community group that offers support to families of infants and children who suffer from gastro-oesophageal reflux and its complications.

It is run by reflux families for the benefit of reflux families, and has done so since 1982. RISA helps families of children of all ages including:

  • Infants
  • Older babies
  • Toddlers
  • Pre-school aged children
  • Primary and secondary school aged children

Vision and mission

RISA aims to reduce the burden of paediatric GORD on the Australian community by providing practical and emotional support to reflux families, and partnering with medical and allied health professionals to improve diagnosis, treatment and health outcomes for children and their family members.

  • Provision of resources and fact sheets to assist in communicating with health professionals
