PEPP Talk – Preparing Emotionally for the Perinatal Period
The PEPP Talk is designed specifically on maintaining emotional and mental wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and beyond. Qualified parent educators and a team of peer workers who understand pregnancy and parenthood from lived experience deliver these classes in a warm, friendly and comfortable space.
The PEPP Talk concept was created by Peach Tree to help prepare expecting parents for the emotional realities that go hand in hand with the transition to parenthood. With two antenatal workshops during the third trimester and a further two postnatal workshops, PEPP Talks are unique in looking at the before and after perspective of becoming parents – the expectations, realities and challenges we face.
Peachy Parent Meetings
Peachy Parent Meetings are offered weekly in various locations across South East Queensland. These peer support groups enable parents who are struggling with issues such as bipolar, PTSD, postnatal depression and anxiety, a chance to meet other parents having a similar experience. These are free, safe and non-judgmental meetings aimed at reducing the isolation and loneliness that comes with having perinatal mental illness.
