Connectivity Traumatic Brain Injury Australia

Connectivity Traumatic Brain Industry Australia is a not-for-profit organisation working to raise awareness, increase education and improve outcomes for sufferers of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) of all severities, including concussion.

A TBI is a brain injury that occurs as a result of a physical impact to the head or body.

Up to 200,000 TBI occur in Australia each year – with many of these unreported or undiagnosed.

Vision and mission

Connectivity undertakes activities to benefit, support, inform and educate the community about TBI. They link together people with lived experience of TBI, their family and carers as well as researchers, clinicians and health care providers to build the evidence base and improve outcomes for people following TBI of all severities.

They strive for a healthier Australia due to the enhanced knowledge and management of TBI, including concussion.

How Connectivity Traumatic Brain Injury Australia can help

Connectivity helps the community by:

  • raising awareness and providing education about TBI of all severities, including concussion
  • improving outcomes by supporting individuals that experience a TBI
  • connecting the TBI community to current research across Australia
  • promoting and implementing best practice research outcomes
  • supporting the introduction of a TBI national standard of care
