The program is delivered by the Organ and Tissue Authority on behalf of the Australian Government, in partnership with the DonateLife Network, local governments, donation and transplantation sectors, eye and tissue sectors, hospitals, community organisations and the public.
Vision and mission
Their purpose is to save and improve the lives of more Australians through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
How you can help save lives
Organ and tissue donation saves many lives every year.
There are around 1,800 Australians on the waitlist for an organ transplant and an additional 14,000 people on dialysis, many of whom could benefit from a kidney transplant.
Registering to be an organ and tissue donor is the easiest way for Australians to help save or transform lives.
It takes just one minute to register on our website or in your Medicare online account through myGov.
