Vision and mission
Emerge Australia provides support to people with ME/CFS and long COVID to achieve the highest quality of life possible.
Their aim is for every Australian diagnosed with ME/CFS and/or long COVID to receive effective medical and other services without stigma or discrimination.
They achieve this through four pillars:
- Education of healthcare professionals
- Advocacy to government and the community
- Research into the cause and possible treatments
- Support patients and carers through the provision of information, online health education, peer support and a health and support line
How Emerge Australia can help
Emerge Australia offers:
- A free, national health and support line for individuals affected by ME/CFS and long COVID.
- Online patient and carer education on managing ME/CFS and accessing disability support.
- Peer-to-peer support through online community groups.
- Information on ME/CFS, long COVID, related conditions, disability support, inclusion, and resources for carers and supporters.
Emerge Australia assists healthcare practitioners with information, resources and RACGP CPD approved education to support their patients living with ME/CFS and/or long COVID.
