RACS – Royal Australasian College of Surgeons

The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), formed in 1927, is a non-profit organisation training surgeons and maintaining surgical standards in Australia and New Zealand.

FRACS stands for Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a qualification awarded only to those doctors who have successfully completed several years of rigorous surgical training. With a commitment to lifelong learning and high standards of professionalism.

Fellows of the College offer surgical care for you and your family.

The RACS website presents information related to surgery, surgical education and training, continuing professional development as well as information for the media and other organisations, representing the voice of the surgical fellowship in Australia and New Zealand. The website contains information about surgery and surgeons, as well as a database of Australian and New Zealand surgeons who maintain compliance with the College Continuing Professional Development Program.
