Australian Prescriber

Australian Prescriber is an independent journal providing readily accessible information about drugs and treatments. While it is written for health professionals and students, anyone can read it online and access its articles on the best use of medicines.

The Australian Prescriber website is freely accessible to all readers. You can look up information published since 1994 on treatments, medicines, diseases and conditions. They publish plain language summaries of articles, stories from patients, and details of patient support groups.

You can search their website via a free text box or look up particular topics in the index. The journal is published every two months. If you want to read each issue, you can sign up to receive e-alerts showing the contents of the latest issue. Each issue covers a range of topics.
