Lockdowns and outbreaks - Victoria

The pandemic declaration has been extended until the 12 October 2022. This means the Minister of Health has the authority to make rules and regulations relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic that is considered necessary to protect the health of the public.

Lockdown

There are currently no lockdowns in Victoria.

Case locations and areas of concern

To find out how many cases have been reported in Victoria, visit dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus.

The Victorian Department of Health no longer publishes new COVID-19 exposure sites.

People who have been to higher risk venues where a positive case has been present — such as gyms, restaurants and nightclubs — will now receive an alert through the Service Victoria app, or an SMS message.

Isolation and testing requirements for contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases are available at coronavirus.vic.gov.au/checklist-contacts.
