Healthcare and aged care advice

If you’ve been in a COVID-19 risk area in the last 14 days, you’re advised not to work in or visit the following high-risk settings in the ACT for 14 days after you have left either area:

  • hospitals
  • residential aged care facilities
  • correctional facilities
  • residential accommodation facilities for people who need frequent, close personal care and are vulnerable to severe disease

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, you should immediately isolate and get tested.

People who work in other health settings — such as GPs and other community health practitioners — can continue to work. But if they develop symptoms, they should isolate and get tested.

For an up-to-date list of declared hotspots and travel advice, go to covid19.act.gov.au and select 'COVID-19 affected areas'.
