All the NT

COVID-19 restrictions in Greater Darwin and Katherine have been lifted.

All the NT is now under the same restrictions.

All children — except any who are unwell — must attend school in the Northern Territory.

Schools across the Territory are encouraged to:

  • promote good hygiene practices
  • move classes outdoors, separating into smaller groups, or use larger indoor spaces
  • avoid handshaking, hugging and kissing, or games involving physical contact
  • continue to use water bubblers for filling water bottles only

Schools can provide remote learning resources to parents and carers whose children are learning from home.

Assessments and exams for Year 12 students will go ahead as scheduled.

Outside school hours care (OSHC) services and school buses are operating.

Residential boarding schools run by the Northern Territory Government are operating. Students who’ve returned from any boarding school to a community may attend the local government school, provided staffing is available.

VET courses will also continue.
