Public schools have on-campus learning for all years.

Schools support remote learning for students who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

The following can resume, subject to certain restrictions:

  • Assemblies, gatherings and performances — if there’s no more than 500 people, excluding staff and students, or 1 person per 4 square metres indoors and 1 person per 2 square metres outdoors.
  • Face-to-face parent-teacher interviews — if there’s no more than 500 people, excluding staff and students, or 1 person per 4 square metres indoors, whichever is lesser.
  • Communal facilities such as playgrounds, subject to certain conditions.
  • Local and low-risk interstate excursions and camps, subject to certain restrictions. Group excursions and out-of-school activities can’t exceed 500 people — including students and adults.
  • Interschool sports in the ACT region, including Greater Queanbeyan, Murrumbateman, Yass and Bungendore.
  • Hiring school-facilities — if there’s no more than 500 people in each indoor and outdoor space, or 1 person per 4 square metres indoors and 1 person per 2 square metres outdoors.
  • Visitors, including parents and volunteers, can attend schools — if there’s no more than 500 at any one time. Schools should keep records of visitors.
