Midlands provides centre based activities program for older adults, people with disabilities or dementia and their carers.
The program provides adult socialisation for the clients and respite for their carers.
Activities enjoyed by the clients are many and varied and include:
-- guest speakers
-- cards and crosswords
-- bowls, hookey,quoits and bobs
-- discussion groups, concerts and sing-a-longs
-- exercises
-- bingo, ceramics,woodword, and craft
-- outings, bus trips and holidays
-- counter meals and barbeques
-- theme days and special occasion daysClients can also access external services at the Centre such as podiatry, hairdressing and pathology collection.
The Centre is located at 701 Norman St, Ballarat and operates 9.00 am - 4.00 pm, Monday - Friday and transport to and from the Centre can be arranged.
Fees
$11 per day with transport provided or $8 per day with own transport. No one will be denied access due to an inability to pay.

-- To promote well being in clients through an organised program of recreation and socialisation
-- To promote quality of life and continuing independence amongst clients
-- To observe and report, as appropriate, the general health of clients
-- To liaise with doctors and other servce providers
-- To provide support for carers and so maintain their health and wellbeing
-- To enable carers to take a break from their caring role
-- The provision of respite is a crucial factor in enabling older adults and people with disabilities or dementia to remain at home.
