The Elizabeth Brown Centre provides a welcoming and supportive environment for older adults, people with disabilities or dementia and their carers. The program provides adult socialisation through support and activities, a planned activity group for the client and respite for their carers.
Activities enjoyed by clients are many and varied and include:
-- guest speakers
-- cards and crosswords
-- bowls, hookey, quoits and bobs
-- discussion groups
-- concerts and sing-a-longs
-- bingo, ceramics, woodwork and craft
-- outings, bus trips and holidays
-- counter meals and barbeques
-- theme days and special ocasions days.Home and Community Care (HACC) and Commonwealth Respite for Carers (CRC) fund the program.
Transport to and from the Centre can be arranged.
Fees
$11 per day ($5 meal, $3 transport & $3 activities. No one will be denied access due to inability to pay.
