What it is used for
Parental administration of calcium is indicated in the treatment of hypocalcaemia where rapid increase in plasma calcium is required, such as in hypocalcaemic tetany and tetany due to parathyroid deficiency. Intravenous calcium is also indicated to antagonise the cardiotoxicity of hyperkalaemia.
How to take it
The way to take this medicine is: Intravenous. This medicine or fluids is given through a needle or tube (catheter) inserted into a vein.
- Store below 30 degrees Celsius
- Shelf lifetime is 3 Years.
