What it is used for
Hypertension. COZAAR is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents (eg. thiazide diuretics). Renal Protection in Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Proteinuria COZAAR is indicated to delay the progression of renal disease in hypertensive type 2 diabetics with proteinuria, defined as urinary albumin to creatinine ratio >=300mg/g
