Nasonex Aqueous Nasal Spray contains the active ingredient mometasone furoate. It is only available with a doctor’s prescription.

Nasonex Aqueous Nasal Spray can be used to relive allergy symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, and itchy or runny nose. It can also be used treat nasal polyps (swollen tissue in the nose), and acute swelling of the sinuses, which can cause a stuffy nose, lots of mucus in the nose, cough, pain in the face or fever.

Nasonex Aqueous Nasal Spray belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids, which work by reducing swelling and pain.

Nasonex Aqueous Nasal Spray should only be sprayed into the nostrils and be used as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

What this medicine is for

For the treatment of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis and the prophylaxis of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults, adolescents and children between the ages of 3 and 11 years. The treatment of nasal polyps in adult patients 18 years of age and older. For the treatment of symptoms associated with acute rhinosinusitis in patients 12 years of age and older without the signs and symptoms of severe bacterial infection.
