We assist people to adapt to life with Diabetes, set goals for implementing and adjusting self-management practices as their diabetes, life or circumstances change.

We offer individual appointments or a monthly education program for people newly diagnosed or people who need to update their knowledge on diabetes.

The Diabetes and You group covers topics on nutrition, exercise, medications, complications, setting goals, foot care and general health and lifestyle management principles.

Diabetes education service includes: - - Education and support for people with diabetes and their carers regarding self-management, lifestyle modification, equipment supply and maintenance. May include hospital inpatients and general community clients. - Paediatric and adolescent diabetes clinic. - Diabetes in pregnancy endocrinology clinic.

The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) delivers diabetes-related products at subsidised prices and provides information and support services to people with diabetes. Registration is free and open to all Australians diagnosed with diabetes. The NDSS is an Australia Government initiative, administered by Diabetes Australia. Castlemaine District Community Health is an NDSS Access Point.
