SIDS and Kids' support services include counselling, parent and family support, peer support, sibling support, grandparent support groups, group activities, annual memorial services, telephone counselling and a national 24 hour freecall 1300 bereavement support line. SIDS and Kids bereavement support services assist families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, during birth, pregnancy or infancy, regardless of the cause. Waiting List Details: Our Crisis workers attend all sudden unexpected deaths within 100kms of Adelaide city and provide telephone support to areas further than that distance from Adelaide.  Ongoing counselling is then provided via in-house appointments or by telephone.

Counsellors provide a warm, supportive, non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings about your unplanned or unwanted pregnancy, or your experience of abortion. 

Counsellors see and support many women, some of whom choose to continue their pregnancy as well as those who choose abortion.

Counsellors will give you accurate information about your options which may include, continuing the pregnancy and parenting, continuing and choosing adoption or terminating the pregnancy. The session is led by you and gives you the opportunity to discuss any concerns or fears you may have and decision making strategies. Your partner or significant others can be involved if you wish. Counsellors will support you to take the time you need to make the decision that is right for you.
