What this medicine is for

Calcium and Vitamin D Supplement. There is an increased requirement of Calcium and Vitamin D during pregnancy and lactation. Caltrate 600mg with Vitamin D is a high potency calcium supplement providing 600mg of elemental calcium in each tablet with vitamin D to help optimise the absorption of calcium in the body. Calcium and vitamin D are essential for the maintenance of strong and healthy bone. Calcium helps build and maintain strong bones. Calcium is a vital bone-building mineral that is essential for developing and maintaining strong and healthy bones. Calcium is also required for a number of vital bodily functions. Adequate calcium is required through out life to maximise bone strength in our youth and to reduce bone loss in subsequent years. A diet defficient in calcium can lead to osteoporosis in later life, with women at particular risk. Vitamin D assists in absorption of calcium in the body. Vitamin D helps optimise calcium absorption, helping to build and maintain healthy bones. Contains high levels of Vitamin D to help maximise Calcium absorption. Supports bone and muscle strength to help keep you moving.
