We provide Care Coordination and Supplementary Services (CCSS) to local residents who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, live with a chronic health condition, and are above the age of 15. Access to a care coordinator and assistance with finances to access urgent medical specialist and allied health services, which are in accordance with a GP care plan.

Capital Health Network - Closing the Gap Program

Provides culturally appropriate counselling for members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, who have experienced sexual assault, and their families. Nguru helps service users assess their circumstances and relationships, and to make choices, decisions and plans for the future. 

Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC)

Winnunga Nimmityjah AHS employs a wide range of health practitioners, and offers numerous clinical services and programs tailored to suit the needs of the local community. The service focuses on acute and chronic care, and also prioritises preventative health care.  Our clinical staff includes:

HealthFount Medical Centre

Provides peer education groups run by and for past or current illicit/injecting drug users and pharmacotherapy consumers. Topics for harm reduction education workshops include: blood borne viruses; sexual health; overdose prevention; safer injecting; drug treatments; mental health and co-morbidity. Consultations and focus groups for consumers to input into local and national policy development activities are facilitated, and the program actively promotes health and human rights for drug users.
