The service provides opportunities for skill development and enhanced social relationships, as well as a range of community access opportunities.

Mind Australia - McPherson Dual Disability Residential Service

Our Planned Activity Groups provide Spanish speaking seniors with the opportunity to:

-stay mentally and physically active 
-socialize with people who speak their native language 
-enjoy a range of recreational & activities in a group setting

For people
-over 65 from Spanish speaking background
-minor mobility issues & early onset of dementia
-risk of social isolation or socially isolated

Our Planned activity groups operate weekly from 9AM-3PM in 4 locations

United - Spanish Latin-American Welfare Centre

Parenting groups focus on topics such as behaviour management, child development, self-esteem, learnings from family of origin, nutrition, healthy living, communication, time-out strategies and parent self care.  The focus at all times is on the development of better parenting styles, skills and strategies that will translate into safer and healthier families.

Caroline Chisholm Society - Moonee Ponds

Initial Contact: Aged Care Coordinator / Access and support officer;
Preferable referral - Connecting Care e-referral.

Macedonian Community Welfare Association

Wingate Avenue Community Centre

Provides the vital link for clients requiring ongoing community nursing care. Works to achieve best health outcomes for clients via the following processes: - Providing community focussed nursing assessments for patients - Collaborating with hospital staff for discharge planning. - Participation in family case conferences - Collaboration with other Health professionals to arrange other community services as needed 

Footscray Hospital - Western Health

Juno - previously WISHIN

Helping with mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief and loss and diagnosed mental illnesses. Support group members can share their problems, learn how to re-build their lives and report on their own progress. The program focuses on changing negative thinking and behaviour, and develop understanding, acceptance, and confidence.
