The Orthopaedic and Amputee Rehabilitation Unit provides inpatient rehabilitation for clients following limb amputation and orthopaedic surgery and/or trauma, with 70% of these clients falling into the older age group. See website links for further information available: EntryProcedures Clients are admitted following referral and medical consultation from many sources within Adelaide. The unit provides a team approach to the rehabilitation phase with members from the following areas: Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Prosthetics and other specialist disciplines as required e.g. Dietetics, Speech Pathology and Physical Education.
