Laverty Pathology provides a range of testing services for our patients, these include genetics, biochemistry, cytopathology, histology, immunology, microbiology, endocrinology and haematology. Our collection centres are conveniently located around Canberra and throughout NSW and we have experienced collection staff who have been extensively trained in blood collection techniques for adults, newborns and children.

Pathology testing is available across all medical specialties and covers Anatomical Pathology, Cytology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Serology, Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. Laboratories are staffed by experienced Medical Scientists and support staff, and operate under Pathologist supervision. All Laverty Pathology Laboratories are fully NATA/RCPA accredited and recognised.

Our collection centres are run by experienced Registered Nurses and Technical Officers who have extensive training in blood collection for adults, newborns and children. We also offer a home collection service for patients who are frail or unwell and are not able to attend our collection centres. Please see the Canberra Health Services website for more information. 

ACT Pathology Collection Centre - Tuggeranong

Provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing for doctors and their patients. Please note some common tests that require an appointment include Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), Helicobacter Breath Test (HBT), Holter Monitors (HM) and 24 Hour Blood Pressure (BP).
