The Youth Services Unit is committed to quality services in partnership with agencies, school and the community across the municipality. This includes promotion of young people's wellbeing and social health status within the context of their family, school and community environments.
Youth Services provides or promotes:
-- Advocacy on behalf of young people for the provision of information, services and facilities at a local, state and federal level.
-- Youth services that are responsive to existing and developing youth needs, promotion of leadership, encourage and showcase young people's talents and abilities and is strategically managed and integrated across service providers.
-- The development of effective youth policy at a local, state and federal level.
-- Effective partnerships with young people, schools and agencies to promote positive youth development in Moorabool Shire.
-- A positive image of young people.
-- Young people's artistic potential by creating opportunities to participate in performing and visual arts, music, literature and cultural activities.
-- Manages in conjunction with appropriate council departments existing youth facilities so as to minimise risk to users.
