Shellharbour Hospital provides acute care, emergency, specialist surgical, medical and mental health services as well as a satellite dialysis unit. The hospital provides a lead role in the provision of family midwifery services together with gynaecological, breast, laparoscopic and ophthalmic services for the southern Illawarra.

St George Hospital is an accredited teaching hospital of the University of NSW which provides care to around 50,000 patients admitted to hospital every year.

St George Hospital

Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital provides acute medical services, general surgery as well as ophthalmology, orthopaedic, gynaecological, plastic surgery along with intensive care services, emergency department and outreach services from Wollongong Hospital.
