We provide exercise programs in warm water which can help you with conditions such as arthritis, joint replacement, pain and stiffness and other movement difficulties, e.g. Parkinson's Disease. We see ourselves as an enabler of wellbeing, helping people to help themselves to live life as independently as possible. We work with you to understand what your main concerns with movement are and what you'd like to achieve. Participants join a program in small groups, 2 sessions a week for 4 weeks.

War Memorial Hospital - Aquatic Physiotherapy/Hydrotherapy

We provide rehabilitation for older people with movement disorders. This may be after an injury or fall, or for a chronic condition such as Parkinson's Disease. We help people to help themselves to live life as independently as possible. 
We work with you to understand your main concerns and what you'd like to achieve. This may be muscle strengthening, improving balance, managing pain, or getting fitter. Education and exercise programs are given in both individual and group settings.

Focus is on standing balance activities to prepare for attendance at the Move and Stay Well group.
Transport available.

War Memorial Hospital - Bod Balance Group

Focus is on appropriate land exercises for people with Parkinson's who are able to walk independently. 
Monday - Advanced level.
Wednesday - Standard level. 
Transport available.
