HomeBase provides early intervention support to families who are at risk of losing their accommodation.  Its aim is to prevent families from becoming homeless.  Assistance is provided to families to stabilise their housing whether this is private rental, public housing or their own homes (mortgages) and financial circumstances. 

Families also have direct access to a Centrelink Social Worker, a member of the HomeBase Team.  This ensures that immediate assistance is available to ensure that correct entitlements are being received and that any other issues in relation to payments and/or debts, for example, are addressed.

BELCONNEN COMMUNITY SERVICE INC

Services include: Belconnen Community Services Inc (BCS) is a not-for-profit community organisation providing high quality integrated and inclusive service to families, children, and young people in the Belconnen region.  We support the community through our transport services, mental health services, counselling, accomodation assistance, social groups, case management and various leisure/fitness programs. Provides 24-hour supported accommodation, advocacy, referrals to women and children in crisis and surviving homelessness and domestic/family violence.

Our opening hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, we have a 24 hour emergency phone line.

Doris Women's Refuge

Services include: Doris Women's Refuge provides crisis and transitional supported accommodation to women and children who are homeless and in crisis following experiences of domestic/family violence.

Monaro Community Access Service Inc.

Services include: MCAS is a ‘first to know’ service that work in partnership with Specialist Homeless Services supporting people in the community known to be most at risk of homelessness, for example people experiencing domestic violence, rough sleepers, young people leaving care, people with mental health issues and people living in unsafe conditions. Current programs are Advocacy, Family Violence Support, Work Development Orders, Financial/Food assistance and education groups in relation to earlier mentioned programs.
