SKYPE SERVICE. 

Service available to patients age between 18-70. 

If you live in RA2 or higher (such as RA3 or RA4), then you are eligible for Skype/Telehealth consultations.  

You are equally fully eligible if you are in care in a residential facility or are a patient of an Aboriginal or TI health centre anywhere in Australia.

All of Tasmania, including metropolitan regions, are also covered as is Darwin and Far North Queensland.

Evening appointments are not  bulk-billed and require out of pocket payment. 

For persons who live in RA2 regions (or higher), almost all consultations are bulk-billed. The exceptions are assessments and treatment for ADHD and for item 291 assessments, where your GP wants a one-off appointment with a written 12-month management plan.   

RA1 resident patients are not eligible for Medicare rebates but are offered convenience of appointment times. You can then be in the comfort and privacy of your own home or other metropolitan location.

Any out of pocket costs will be fully disclosed to you at the time of booking.

OzPsychiatry

Offers psychiatric assessments and management plans via telehealth, which are bulk-billed for rural patients, people on Workcover or TAC. There is a co-payment for metro patients. A GP referral is needed to access this service.
