Women's Information & Referral Exchange (WIRE)

These groups provide a range of social activities and other supports for older people from Croatian speaking backgrounds. The contact person is the HACC Program Manager in the Footscray office.

Australian Croatian Community Services - Footscray

Offers planned respite to carers and people of any age with a psychiatric disability in the Southern Metropolitan region, which includes the inner south, middle south, Greater Dandenong and Peninsula-Hastings regions.  

Respite programs are offered to the person with the psychiatric disability while the carer takes a break.  Programs include group holidays, individual and small group respite, and recreational day activities.

Mind Australia - Peer Recovery Community Albert Park

Head office is open 9 - 5 Monday - Friday. Outreach workers provide services after hours also.

OPEN FAMILY AUSTRALIA

Provides a residential rehabilitation service to 20-35 year olds who have a mental illness.  The program provides opportunities for skill development and enhanced social relationships, as well as a range of community access opportunities.  Residents can stay for up to three years, following which they are supported by staff to find secure and stable accommodation appropriate to their needs.
