Canberra Eye Laser

Canberra Hospital's Eye Clinic provides appointments to patients requiring urgent attention for eye and vision-related conditions.  All patients must first see a GP, Optometrist or hospital Emergency Department, and then be referred into the Canberra Hospital Eye Clinic to recieve an appointment. Urgent appointments are provided to patients who are referred with conditions that may risk a loss of vision, for example as a result of injury, infection, buldging, or pain. Without a referral and a pre-booked appointment, all patients will be sent to Canberra Hospital's Emergency Department in Building 12, Level 2.

Canberra Eye Hospital provides specialist care for general eye conditions, Cataract surgery, Laser Eye Surgery, Glaucoma, Macula Degeneration, Diabetic Eye disease, and diagnostic testing. Monday - Friday opening hours vary, dependent on surgical bookings. 

EFTPOS and Senior's Discount are available at this service. Referrals are required.

Patients who stay in our Barton ward can be accompanied by a companion at no extra cost.  Corporate Hotel rates are available for patients from out of town if they decide to come to Canberra the night before.

Dr David Tridgell provides eye care for general eye conditions, cataract surgery, diabetic eye disease, macula degeneration and gloucoma.  Dr Tridgell operates both privately and publicly at the Calvary Hospitals.
