The Renal Unit is responsible for the diagnosis and management of all renal medical conditions, hypertension and electrolyte disorders. The Unit provides on site acute and chronic dialysis, satellite and a home dialysis service. Renal biopsies are also performed through the Unit as a means to detect kidney problems. Follow up for patients who have had a kidney transplant is also provided.

Flinders Medical Centre

LMHS satellite dialysis centre provides dialysis services for people with end stage renal failure. It is open six days a week and provides dialysis services for 40 patients, total of 120 treatments a week. It employs renal trained nursing staff and Allied Health staff.
