Art therapy and music therapy is about using the confidential therapeutic space to safely process ones own feelings, thoughts and experiences using art or music or a combination of both. Qualified PHS Art and Music Therapists are available to provide support to patients, carers and families at home. Art and music skills or training is not required.

People of any age or ability may benefit from music therapy regardless of their musical skill or background.  Inpatient music therapy services are currently available at Monash Children's Clayton and at Monash Children's Casey in Newborn Services. Children and their families may be referred to the music therapy service by any member of the multi-disciplinary care team.
