INTOUCH MULTICULTURAL CENTRE AGAINST FAMILY VIOLENCE

A subsidy for the provision of meals to community groups and organisations supporting seniors is provided on an annual basis. Priority is given to groups and organisations that provide a healthy, nutritious and affordable meal option, offer a culturally appropriate meal if providing a meal for culturally and linguistically diverse seniors, and provide a range of activities or services that enhance senior's social opportunities and support an active and healthy lifestyle.

To meet the needs of victims throughout Victoria, VRAS provides funding to a network of services which operate in country regions and the metropolitan area.

These agencies provide the following range of services to victims:

-- Immediate crisis response to victims of crime, both by telephone counselling and outreach services.

-- Where appropriate, referral to other local services which may be best able to meet their specific needs.

-- Practical support (eg. Arranging improved security,  contacting relatives, friends or an employer, writing letters or assisting in the completion of forms).

-- Coordination of specialist support groups for victims of crime.

-- Provision of court support

Victims Referral & Assistance Service

The Council of Single Mothers and their Children provides information, support and referral to single mothers across Victoria.  

We can assist women with a wide range of issues including housing, emergency relief, domestic violence, Centrelink, family law, child support and any of the joys and challenges of being a single mother. 

Run by and for single mothers CSMC has been committed to improving the conditions of single mothers and their families for over 40 years.  

Membership is free for single mothers, and our newsletter and email bulletins keep members up to date with current issues affecting single mothers. 
 
CSMC has a long and successful history of advocating to improve the circumstances of single mothers, work we continue to this day through political advocacy, representation of single mother issues to government and community organisations, and involvement in research.
