The occupational therapist can work with children and young people, and their families to assist them in hand skills, handwriting, drawing, cutting, posture during activities, sensory processing - how they respond to visual and auditory information, movement, touch, and information about the position of their body. Waiting list details Once a child has been referred an appropriate time and location will be negotiated for an assessment. Depending on the level of need the child may be offered regular individual therapy sessions, group programs, activity ideas for home and school, information for teachers and parents, consultation with kindy, school, childcare and / or other agencies.
