24 hour service.  Exchanges can occur at Kyabram and District Health Services Urgent Care Centre. Distribution of clean needles & syringes.

Needle and Syringe Program  
This program is available to injecting drug users. It is provided in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. Sterile injecting equipment, condoms and information on blood borne viruses are provided through this program.

Nexus Primary Health

Castlemaine District Community Health provides a service for needle and syringe exchange. We stock a large range of needles and syringes as well as i.v. water, swabs, filters and disposal units. An after hours shoot is located next to the building for syringe disposal. This is a free service. A small fee is charged for the purchase of wheel filters and i.v. water.

Castlemaine District Community Health

Provides a number of important services to the community including: - Food Surveillance - Infectious Disease Control - Health Promotion & Education - Environmental Health Nuisance Control - Emergency Recovery Management. Infectious Disease Control Council has a range of information about issues such as vaccinating against preventable diseases, mosquito problems, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, & C and Legionnaires Disease. A free diabetic needle and syringe disposal service is also available.

CENTRAL GOLDFIELDS SHIRE COUNCIL

The Needle Syringe Program is a harm reduction program aimed at providing sterile needles and syringes to people who inject prescription or other drugs. There is a drop off point for used needles outside our building.
