If you don't know what to do, the after hours GP helpline will give you the reassurance and practical advice you need. A registered nurse will assess your condition. If necessary, the nurse will transfer you to a GP on the telephone. The GP will talk with you, assess your condition, make a diagnosis and provide medical advice.

The Poisons Information Centre provides expert phone advice on the assessment and management of adults and children exposed to possible poisons. These include, medicines, chemicals, cleaning products, bites and stings. they provide advices to both the general public and health professionals and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls are answered by Specialists in Poison Information on consultation with Clinical Toxicologists. Note: We do not provide face to face consultations.
