Canberra Community Dialysis Centre is located at 7 Gaunt Place Garran (adjacent to the Canberra Hospital).  This service operates on weekends and public holidays.

Canberra Hospital - Renal Services

Acute Dialysis is located in Building 15, Canberra Hospital.  The unit consists of a 10 bed facility providing haemodialysis to acute and unstable in and out patients.  The unit is open from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily except Sundays, Christmas and New Year's Day.

The unit also provides an after hours closed call service for urgent haemodialysis.

Renal administration is located in Building 15, Canberra Hospital. For information on appointments, referrals and renal services available please call the reception on the number provided.

Renal outpatients service provides a multidisciplinary approach to complex hypertension, renal transplant, pre dialysis services and nephrology outpatients. GP referrals are required for all initial outpatient appointments. The on-call nephrologists triage all initial patients based on information contained in the referral. All patients are required to have a current referral.

Renal Medicine Ward 8B is located in Building 1, Level 8, Canberra Hospital.  The 19 bed ward cares for renal patients encompassing pre-dialysis, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and post transplantation. Other medical specialities are also catered for on this ward.  Ward visiting times are below, and this ward also operates on weekends and public holidays.
