The Hereditary Cancer Clinic (Genetic Counselling Service) at the Illawarra Cancer Care Centre offers the following services:

Assessment of the genetic risk for cancer in families.
Risk management advice and support.
Genetic testing where appropriate.

Wollongong Genetic Counselling

Provides both a general genetics and familial cancer service for those who are aware of or suspect a genetic condition in their family. The service also acts in a consultative manner with other health service providers and agencies. Regular clinics are held for both general and cancer genetics and are supported by genetic specialists. Telehealth appoints are available. Referral required from Doctor / GP / Specialist.

Bathurst Health Service Genetics Service

Provides an individual or family with information and support regarding health concerns which run in their family. Genetic counselling may involve the diagnosis of a genetic condition, the provision of information and supportive counselling by a team of health professionals, so that families and individuals may be better able to adjust to diagnosis. Follow-up counselling is available to ensure on-going support, review previous information or to answer new questions as they arise.
