Target Groups
The services provide support for: 
• Young people and their families
• Individuals seeking support for problems being experienced through their own alcohol and other drug use
• Individuals who have been identified by the Magistrates Court and are diverted for treatment with an opportunity to address alcohol and other drug issues.
• Individuals in recovery at risk of transitioning into homelessness 

Entry Requirements
In addition to self-referrals, Hope Community Services receives referrals from: 
• Department Child Protection
• Department Corrective Services
• WA Diversion Program
• Allied health professionals
• Other non-government agencies and mental health services

Hope Community Services - Midwest Services

The Sobering Up Centre is a safe, caring environment that offers a shower, pyjamas and a bed to sleep in. Basic medical care and referrals are also provided when appropriate. Special areas are designated for those needed closer monitoring as well as for mothers with children. 

The Centre is a working partnership between Hope Community Services and the Geraldton Yamatji Patrol Aboriginal Corporation. The Yamatji Patrol promotes mutual understanding and respect between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, and members of the police force. It also administers welfare and provides assistance to those in need.
