Psychologists work with children (aged 0 to 12 years) and their families/carers experiencing emotional, social, behavioural and parent-child relationship difficulties. For example, finding it hard to control anger, feeling anxious or depressed, adjusting to parenting.

SLHD Community Health - Forest Lodge Community Health Child and Family Health Psychology Service

The Child & Family Emerging Eating Disorders Service (CAFEEDS) is a first point of intervention for children with mild or emerging eating disordered symptoms. This service will be multidisciplinary seen by Social Work and Psychology and will run as part of the counselling service and include assessment, therapy and case coordination/consultation. There may also be case consultation with dietetics. Initially the pilot will be from Forest Lodge and will then extend to other Community Health centre
