North Coast Kidney Care

This is an Outpatient Clinic that services the Richmond and Clarence Valleys of NNSWLHD. Nephrology Specialists review and assess Chronic Kidney Disease patients who are approaching End Stage Renal Failure and refer to the CNS2 RCM. The CNS2 provides education to these CKD patients concerning treatment options which include Transplantation, Renal Supportive Care, Home based therapies (Peritoneal Dialysis or Home Haemodialysis) or in-centre Haemodialysis.
The CNS2 coordinates further assessments 

Northern NSW - Renal Coordination

This is an Outpatient Clinic that services the Richmond and Clarence Valleys of NNSWLHD. Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease and End Stage Renal Disease who have high symptom burden are managed conservatively rather than undertaking dialysis. These patient are frequently reviewed in health facilities or their own home. Ongoing management can also be done by phone or telemedicine. Medically led service to Provide patient and staff training in home based peritoneal dialysis. Support for acute presentation in ward areas. Line management via NUM 2 to DONM. Area Renal Service supported by Area Renal Manager

Lismore Base Hospital (LBH) is a major acute care provider and referral hospital within the North Coast Area Health Service. It has 197 inpatient beds and provides Emergency Care, Critical Care, General Medical, Surgical, Paediatric, Obstetric, Mental Health, Coronary Care Services, Cardiac Rehabilitation Services, Cancer Services,  Allied Health Services, Outpatient Clinics and Clinical Support Services. The hospital has some accommodation for relatives in special circumstances.

This is an Outpatient Clinic that services the Richmond and Clarence Valleys of NNSWLHD. Nephrology Specialists review and assess Chronic Kidney Disease patients, and any nominated live donor, for suitability for transplantation. CNS2 organises, and collates required transplant workup tests, and laisses with the patient's and donors nephrologist, and the relevant transplant team, as to the patient's suitability to be placed on transplant waiting list for kidney or kidney/pancreas.
