Dungog Hospital is a small rural hospital providing inpatient, medical and emergency care for more than 8,000 residents of Dungog and the surrounding shire. It also provides post-surgical and postnatal care for patients transferring from other health facilities in the region, and a range of outpatient and community health services.

The Bulahdelah Community Hospital cares for patients throughout the Myall Lakes area. The services includes a two bed 24 hour emergency department, aged care, palliative care, medicine, limited radiology and outpatient services. A General Practitioner services the hospital and community and there is no medical officer onsite.

Gloucester Hospital is an 80-bed campus which consists of a 20-bed acute ward, 15-bed aged care transitional ward, 25-bed nursing home and a 20-bed hostel.

Gloucester Soldiers Memorial Hospital

For people living in Nelson Bay and surrounding areas. The hospital has 12 beds and also two single bed ensuite rooms and is part of Hunter New England Local Health District

Services we provide: General Medicine, Geriatric, Palliative Care, adult and paediatric emergency care, adult acute medical inpatient care, adult emergency respite and postnatal care for women eligible for early discharge from their obstetric hospital. 

Admin Hours: 7:30am - 9pm

Visiting Hours: 10am - 1pm, 3pm - 8pm

Office hours: 6:30AM-8:00 PM
The hospital is open 24 hours but they do not accept patients outside of business hours

Hunter Valley Private Hospital

Kurri Kurri Hospital is an acute and transitional care facility. A wide range of community health services are provided through the Cessnock/Kurri Kurri Community Health Service. Services we provide: General medicine; ear, nose and throat and ophthalmic surgery; a 24-hour emergency department, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech pathology and occupational therapy. Admin Hours: 8.30 to 5pm Monday to Sunday.
