Dee Why Endoscopy unit is a Private Day Surgery Unit licensed by the NSW Ministry of Health and accredited to the NSQHS standards. Dee Why Endoscopy Unit was established in 1988 and has continued to serve the community by offering a full range of Endoscopy procedures. In 2008, Dee Why Endoscopy Unit became a part of the Cura Day Hospitals Group.

All consultations are by appointment, and referrals are necessary for Medicare refunds. Initial consultations last from 30 to 40 minutes, and occasionally longer. Follow-up consultations will often be for a shorter time period. It is advisable to bring a referral letter, and any relevant X-Rays or blood results at the time of initial consultation. If further blood tests or X-Rays are required, these can be arranged using the facilities at North Shore Private Hospital and will be arranged by one of the Gastroenterologists.

All specialists at Northern Gastroenterology perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy. Other endoscopic procedures are also performed.
