The service also works closely with the community and industry to:
-	Raise awareness about problem gambling;
-	Educate around problem gambling issues;
-	Support and assist problem gamblers and their families and friends.

ACT Gambling Counselling and Support Service

Our Pastoral Care Practitioners come from a variety of belief groups and religious backgrounds and are a combination of staff and trained volunteers available to offer emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, carers and staff throughout the Canberra Hospital.  They are available in person, either on-site or on-call through the hospital's switchboard. 

Chaplaincy and Pastoral/Spiritual Care includes members of a general team who relate with persons who claim to have no specific religious background or affiliation but who appreciate visits or are seeking spiritual support. 

A Multifaith sacred space located in Building 3, Level 2 is open to all and available 24 hours a day. It is specifically designed for private prayer and individual/group meditation. It is also used as a Christian Chapel, Jewish Temple, and for daily prayers by Muslims, thus various religious services and group meditations are regularly held there Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - as well as periodic memorial services and special celebrations conducted by belief or faith group leaders coordinated by the Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Manager. A schedule of all regular weekly worship services/times are available on notice boards near the Multifaith centre or by contacting the Pastoral Care office directly.

Bedside communion is available upon request. Anyone may request a friendly pastoral care visit or specific spiritual support at anytime, either personally or to make a referral on behalf of someone else.

Chaplains and Pastoral Carers are available on campus during work hours and designated representatives are on-call 24 hours a day. Contact the Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care office directly on (02) 6244 3849 or via the hospital's switchboard on (02) 6244 2222 to reach the on-call service.

Provides a social telephone call to people living in the community to provide support, friendship and community connection. The program aims to enrich the independence and quality of life for older people and people with a disability living in the community.

Brain Tumour Support Network ACT  - Woden

Currently there are 120 volunteers who are able to bring their life experiences, energy and skills to assist with the support of patients and their families who are receiving palliative care.  All new volunteers undertake a comprehensive initial training program to provide them with the knowledge, confidence and compassion to care for the dying. 

The retention rate for volunteers is very high, and training occurs a few times a year. We are always pleased to hear from anyone interested in volunteering.

Volunteers may choose to work in:
-	Inpatient facility roster at Clare Holland House
-	Residential aged care facilities
-	Home-based palliative care. 
-	Society Council

Meetings are a vital part of the S-Anon program, providing us with the opportunity to identify and confirm common problems and to hear the experience, strength and hope of others.

PANDSI can provide telephone support, one on one support, group support, partners information evenings, exercise and yoga classes, pram walk and play group.
Please phone to check availability and times of support sessions. Free adjunct childcare is available for daytime support groups.  Please amend to:  PANDSI provides support for ACT families struggling with perinatal depression.  Services include Telephone Support, One-to-One Support, Day Support Group, Dad's Information Night,  Fitness Support Group,  Yoga Evening Support and PANDSI playgroup for clients.  Free adjunct childcare is provided for some services.
