Mental Health Carers Australia is the only national advocacy group solely concerned with the well-being and promotion of the needs of mental health carers. Member organisations have been providing information and support to carers across Australia for over 40 years. The organisation advocates on behalf of mental health carers, exploring and strengthening the mental health caring role, developing knowledge, improving skills and offering support to reduce isolation and enhance the caring journey.

Parents Beyond Breakup provides free, confidential telephone information and peer-support for separated, non-custodial parents experiencing distress through parental alienation.

We provide free, confidential telephone support on our national Helpline, as well as peer support for fathers, mothers and their families through our Peer Support Groups.

Our frontline services include our Suicide Helpline and our Peer Support Groups - Dads in Distress (DIDS) and Mums in Distress (MIDS).

Parents Beyond Breakup

Specialist areas include: Depression and Anxiety PTSD Chronic pain or illness Life transitions Counselling/Relationship Grief & Loss Panic Disorder. Public holiday hours vary, call service to confirm availability.

Online counselling and psychology. 

Initial 20 minute consultation with principal psychologist to determine needs before matching with a counsellor.

Positive Mind Works

A range of services for individuals and vulnerable groups and individuals who seek 1 on 1 long term individualized support. A comprehensive and individual support service in areas such as dispute resolution, human rights protections, trauma recovery, and vulnerable people mental health advocacy and referral Protecting our Elderly - Elder-abuse advocacy & legal paperwork preparation Human rights Advocate for vulnerable persons including those of persons with a disability LBQT.

SkySafe Crisis Australia

SANE AUSTRALIA

MIFANT is a not for profit charitable organisation with services in Darwin, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.   MIFANT provides recovery based support to people with a mental illness, their families and carers and also early intervention to children and young people at risk of developing a mental illness.

MIFANT also provides a range of NDIS services for people with a mental illness including Recovery Coach, Support Coordination, Social and Community Participation and Community Access.
