Newcastle Endoscopy Centre is a two-theatre specialist day hospital located in central-eastern New South Wales. Newcastle Endoscopy Centre commenced operations in 2013 and is the first and only purpose-built Endoscopy Centre in NSW's Hunter region. Newcastle Endoscopy Centre joined Cura Day Hospitals Group on Monday 30th September 2019.

Specialist Paediatric consultation and ongoing care of Paediatric patients with suspected or diagnosed Gastroenterology conditions. Clinic Measurement/procedures that can be undertaken in this clinic are:
1. PH studies
2. Gastrostomy tube changes
3. NG tube insertion
Paediatric Gastroenterology consultations for patients pre + post Liver Transplant, Chronic Liver Disease, Autoimmune Hepatitis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C
Follow up clinic for patients that have had a recent Endoscopy.

John Hunter Children's Hospital - Gastroenterology Clinic

The Direct Access Colonoscopy initiative focuses on increasing direct access to colonoscopy services for people who received a positive immunochemical Faecal Occult Blood Test (iFOBT) result across NSW, and improved triaging and prioritisation of colonoscopy wait lists. While implementation and local models may vary, DAC at LHDs will typically include the following elements:
- A General Practitioner (GP) is able to refer eligible patients with a positive iFOBT directly to the DAC service at the 

Wyong Hospital - Direct Access Colonoscopy Clinic

Dr James Pang - Gosford

The role of the IBD nurse in the clinic is to provide support to patients living with either Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.  The nurse provides ongoing education, monitoring of medications, reviewing blood results, referring patients to outpatient services, liaising with the MDT on behalf of the patient, ongoing screening for opportunistic infections and coordinating regular follow ups in the clinic.

Gosford Hospital - Gastroenterology Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic

Consultation, management, treatment and education on all types of diseases of the stomach and intestine. 

Gosford Hospital - Endoscopy Screen Clinic

The new service will offer expert nursing and dietitian interventions in an outpatient clinic for individuals with gastrostomy tubes, managing standard care and maintenance, as well as performing planned tube changes.
