The Quit Program aims to help individuals QUIT smoking and to support them during the process. One on one sessions are available with the Community Health Nurse who is an accredited QUIT educator.

Service Description
The aim of the service is to assist people in giving up smoking and thus improve their health outcome. A Registered Nurse, Quit Facilitator, is available for group  and one-to-one sessions.

The smoking cessation nurse uses a supportive style to help people address smoking cessation at the patient's pace and to meet the individual's needs. Support and a non-judgemental approach are the back-bone of this service.

Advice, information and ongoing support is provided by specialist trained Nurses to help clients quit smoking. Therapy modes may include nicotine replacement therapy, pharmacotherapy, group education and behaviour modification. Clients are managed in collaboration with their GP.
