Alkira is a community organisation that support people with intellectual disabilities and their families. We have support services in the Whitehorse area for people with a disability as well as our Carer s Network for supporting family members.The Carer s Network, led by Alkira and a dedicated group of passionate carers, organise a variety of enjoyable and relaxing social events, as well as informative sessions focused on creating meaningful connections and mutual support.

EACH - Box Hill

Provides a range of psycho-social interventions including peer-support activities, group programs, recreational activities, and individual support such as counselling, practical assistance, wheelchairs loans, and case work. Also hosts community education on cancer prevention and supportive care, and its website and newsletters provide additional means for communication amongst members and the wider community.

Chinese Cancer and Chronic Illness Society of Victoria

Aims to support people of Chinese heritage who are affected by chronic illnesses, especially to those who are suffering from unusual chronic illnesses. 

Chinese Chronic Illness Foundation

Helping with mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief and loss and diagnosed mental illnesses. Support group members can share their problems, learn how to re-build their lives and report on their own progress. The program focuses on changing negative thinking and behaviour, and develop understanding, acceptance, and confidence.

Anxiety Disorders Support Groups	

The group provides an avenue for participants to share their hope, motivations and their journey in a safe, supportive environment. Support Groups provide an opportunity for people to help one another, understand their anxiety disorder and the recovery process.
