BHCG Palliative Care Service

Provides primary and secondary consultations to patients and families, with the most complex palliative symptoms including patients with cancer, degerative neurological disorders, end stage chronic illness, and other palliative diagnoses.

Bendigo Health

Hospice care can include end stage care, symptom relief (including radiotherapy), assessment and respite. Staff aim to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the patient whilst providing support to the family and caregivers. They also assist the patients by preventing or reducing pain and alleviating other symptoms, as well as offering a realistic opportunity to die in a home-like environment.

The Community Palliative Care service aims to respect the rights of people with a terminal illness to live their life in the way they choose until death. This is done through the provision of holistic palliative care, acknowledging the physical, psychological and social needs of clients, families and carers.  The services aims to provide an alternative to hospital care for the terminally ill. 


Dhelkaya Health - Maldon Hospital

Enhances the quality of life for clients and carers as they deal with a life-limiting illness. Supports, educates and increases the confidence of other health workers and residents in the community who assist those requiring palliative care. Dhelkaya Health

Service Description
Providing medical treatment & counselling for people with terminal illness.
Support, counselling and information for their families and/or carers.

In home treatment available through District Nursing Services.
Acute bed admissions available.

Inglewood and Districts Health Service - Inglewood

Provides a Palliative Care Suite with full ensuite facilities for palliative patients. There is also a bed settee and kitchen facilities for carers and family members. Palliative Care is an inpatient service providing 24 hour nursing care in conjunction with support from family and care givers. 

Central Highlands Rural Health - Kyneton Health

Provision of care to clients with a life limiting illness. It is a government funded service where experienced Registered nurses provide high quality holistic care. Care includes: - Assessment and management of management of difficult symptoms such as pain, nausea, constipation, etc; - Emotional, spiritual and psychological support to client and family including bereavement visits; - Liaising and referring to other providers ensuring best practice; - 24 hour on call support service.

Lockington & District Bush Nursing Centre

The District Nursing Service is operated by qualified nurses and is part of the services offered by Seymour Health. We help our clients with a wide range of conditions and situations, including:
