Beaufort Community House & Learning Centre

A number of Council buildings are available for community use and some may be directly booked with Council.  These include the Community Centres and Town Halls in Avoca & Beaufort.

The Coordinator at the Avoca Community Information & Resource Centre is responsible for the booking of all venues in Avoca, Ph: 03 5465 3000.
Venues at Beaufort may be booked at the Beaufort Customer Services Office.

It is a requirement of hire that groups and individuals hiring Council facilities be covered by public liability insurance.  Those without existing coverage may purchase 'one off' coverage from Council's business offices.

Senior Citizens Groups meet regularly at various centres for social activities which may include fitness programs, snooker, carpet bowls, walking groups, barbecues, outings and dances.

Senior Citizens Centres are situated in Avoca, Beaufort and Landsborough.

Skipton Hostel

The Haddon & District Community House is a non profit incorporated association that is managed by a volunteer community based committee of management.

The Community House aims to meet community needs by offering a variety of educational, health & well being, recreational, art/crat and computer classes.
Any suggestions for activities are welcomed.

The Haddon & District Community House is open 9.00 am - 4.00 pm, Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays.

Ballarat Community Health - Lucas

Ballarat Type 2 Diabetes Support Group  Once a month, Monday 4pm at Sebastopol.  For more information contact Kathy Allen 0418 175 880

Provides support for young people with a recent experience of mental illness. It aims to assist individuals with setting and attaining goals, mental health awareness, preventative strategies and educational and vocational opportunities. Family and carer support and education is also available.
